Ada 95 Programming

Noetic Software participated in the Ada Technology Insertion Program - Partnership (ATIP-P). The partnerships between the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and ten private sector companies was formed to increase the commercialization and availability of Ada 95 products.

Noetic Software developed thick and thin bindings between Ada 95 and MIL-STD-1553B. The thick bindings provide a common Ada 95 class library for implementing functionality common to all MIL-STD-155B applications. Source code and documentation for the thick bindings are considered "freeware," and are available upon request.

The thin bindings maintain a common interface with the thick binding while providing the low-level interface to specific MIL-STD-1553B hardware. A thin binding is available for the ILC-DDC BU-61580 ACE card, and others can be developed upon request.
